Extremely Rare Antique (early 1900's) Ceremonial Full Bottomed Wig & Upright Storage Case with Internal Birdcage, by

This exquisite ensemble comprises a ceremonial full bottomed wig and its accompanying upright storage case, complete with original internal birdcage made by Ede & Ravenscroft.
 
Historical Significance
·         Post Nominal 'KC': The presence of the post nominal 'KC' (King's Counsel) on the case definitively dates this set to the period between 1902 and 1952, though style, condition etc places it closer to the beginning.
·         Colonial Connection: The use of 'KC' across the British Empire suggests that GA McGusty may have been a King's Counsel in an overseas territory.
·         Rare Survival: The survival of both the wig and the case, particularly with the intact birdcage, is highly unusual. 

These specialized cases are seldom encountered today, and the presence of the original birdcage further enhances its rarity and historical importance.
