Antique Oval Marble Plate Gilded & Framed 19th Century Signed Monogram 1882.
Beautiful & rare oval plaque in marble or limestone, representing three young children playing among the flowers, a rabbit at their feet. Good condition and great craftsmanship for this unusual plaque. On the reverse, it bears a stamp inscribed 'SAINT PETERSBOURG' and dated 1882 - signed with a monogram. Fixed in an important blackened and gilded wooden frame with dimensions of 42.5cm x 37.5cm, the plate dimensions are 18cm x 12.5cm. A truly beautiful piece of antique art.
