Vintage, hand carved pipe rack stand, c. 1930's/40's by Tallent of London (suppliers of fine products to department stores), In the form of a Ships Anchor it holds four pipes. Standing c. 8" inch tall x 8.1/4" inch wide, it is in lovely condition.
Carved in the form of an anchor for the H.M.S Victory, the base stands on 4 small bun feet. The Tallent brass label is still present to the base.
These pieces were made to help fund the restoration and upkeep of the HMS Victory in Portsmouth.
